I love you up close, as I love you from afar. I love you
from any distance, be it time or matter. I love you in silence and I
love you out loud. I love you in stillness and I love you in movement.
Bend it, stretch it, squeeze it, breathe it. It lives with dignity.

I am not superhuman, when I am wounded, I bleed.

I am not supernatural, I am not immune to pain.

I do not have superpowers, I cannot control what you do or say.

Like waste, dismissed and disposed, my insides turn to shreds when you turn away.

I will not fight, I will not struggle.  I will not resist or supersede.

Take it, take it all – take what you may and do with it as you will.

It is no longer mine, it never was.

I will stay in the posture of submission. I want to be in the stance of surrender.

Maybe then you will see how small and weak I really am.

I am not superhuman.

Superhuman

When Fear knocks on your door, allow him to enter and offer him a seat, some rest and respite.

He is a visitor, sent from the Skies, to tell you about the darker places that he has been, the disasters he has seen.

Just because you do not want to visit them does not mean that they do not exist.

Welcome him as you would a traveling friend who comes with greetings and good graces

Know that that he comes bearing a special kind of offering

If you ignore him and try to bolt your doors, he will invade, pervade and occupy

Beware as he can come to occupy your home, spreading himself from room to room, even adding his flavors to the food and his fragrance in the air.

You’ll be fighting for what’s pure, trying to keep him at bay.

Will you make him your lover?  Your roommate?  Your companion?

Or will you accept his gift with a measure of acceptance, patience and forbearance?

Honor this visitor for a moment, taking his hand in yours,

Though it may be cold and rough to touch.

He seeks a moment of your attention and he will surely be on his way.

Though his gift may bear witness to warped memories and images that make you weary with doubt,

His departure signals to Grace that it is safe to enter here.

I imagine a future, a vision, a sight.

And fill it with joy, peace and delight.

What are the quakes that sever the dots?

Greet the insecurity and loosen the knots.

If I don’t push so hard and hold on so tight

And trust that the Universe wont put up a fight,

I know not what is best, what is good and what is mine

For I know not all that is possible, the will of the Divine.

When I leave it Grace, to That, and to You

The mystery unfolds and blessings renew.
