As far as the eye can see, vast open space

Beyond the limits of the intellect and transcending the bounds of imagination

Infinite.

Overwhelmed.

In my attempts to understand, I try to organize, to name, label, and categorize.

The black and white and shades of gray.

But what of the empty, silent space?

What of the textures, tastes and smells?

My body pulls my mind’s attention in its efforts to protect and please itself.

My breath responds in a likewise manner with stops, starts and uneven sputters.

The more I try to dominate, the more i feel it retaliate.

For it is not for me to have, but for It to have me, for now and for all.

This space that I see – its holds me within.

If I rest my mind and breathe with trust, I will see.

I am a part, not apart of It.
