My natural state
Posted in Articles on 10/27/2009 08:11 am by ShaziaMoments of infinite gratitude interspersed between petulant pouts and sheer arrogance,
As my immature self battles with the Universe for the should have beens and the could have beens.
Blind, I resist the order that is before me.
Sulking when it refuses to conform to my narrow expectations.
It’s when I step back, in wonder and in awe.
At the mystery that is Creation. In its images and flavors, its textures and its sounds.
If I am able to step back from my miopic bubble of perception.
And grasp the wider silence, the empty vastness, the absolute stillness.
Only if I trust, that Benevolence and that Grace,
Can I return to my natural state.
